All network inputs are estimates. For a period profile, enter one value to repeat or comma-separated values matching the horizon. Quantities are tonnes; costs are USD. Lead times use the same planning periods.

Know the model.

A continuous-volume, multi-period planning model. Procurement, shipment timing, inventories and unmet demand are explicit.

OBSERVED BENCHMARK ≠ ASIAN QUOTE.The EIA jet fuel snapshot is a U.S. Gulf Coast FOB observation. Converting USD/US gallon to USD/tonne assumes 0.8 kg/L density. All operational capacities, demand profiles, supplier basis, transport costs, emissions and holding costs are estimates. Source dates and stale or failed collection states remain visible.

Balances & timing

Procurement is bounded by each supplier’s capacity in each period. A shipment departing period t arrives in t + lead time. Destinations balance opening stock plus arrivals against fulfilled demand and closing stock. Closing stock must meet reserves; storage limits apply to stock before demand. Initial inventory is available without being purchased again. Unmet demand is reported by destination and period.

Objective & hard limits

The solver first minimizes unmet demand, then minimizes cost for that service level. Cost includes procurement at the period benchmark plus supplier basis, freight, handling, closing inventory holding charges and financing for both transit and closing inventory. Optional total budget and transport emissions caps remain constraints. A structurally infeasible problem has no valid cost or shipment plan; it is shown separately from an optimal partial-service plan.

Scenario comparisons

Base case, Gulf disruption and Singapore outage apply independently to the same base inputs. A lower total cost under reduced service is not presented as a saving. No independent operational baseline is claimed. The map shows planned departures in the selected period and schematic links, not navigable vessel routes.

Scope & reproducibility

Every planning period must represent a consistent user-chosen duration. The model does not include vessel integer lots, product quality blending, credit agreements, taxes, regulatory decisions or lifecycle emissions. Exported scenario JSON preserves base inputs, selected stress scenario, effective model inputs, results and source metadata. Importing that file restores the editable plan for a new solve.

Sources have separate model, context and reference roles. Brent, FX and airport metadata do not automatically alter this jet fuel model. Natural Earth geography is public domain. No synthetic live ticker or hidden random updates.
